2026 New Holland T5 Electro Command Tractors Get Standard 8-Speed Automatic Shifting
New Holland has announced its T5 series utility tractor lineup for 2026 will include the Electro Command 16x16 transmission with automatic 8-speed shifting in transport mode as a standard feature. Thanks to IntelliShift automation technology, customers can expect enhanced fuel efficiency, reduced operator fatigue, and smooth performance on the road or in the field.
The upgraded T5 Electro Command models, including the 107-horsepower (79-kilowatt) T5.110 and 117-HP (86-kW) T5.120, are expected to be available early next year. The machines are a good match for livestock and dairy operations and can handle everything from loader work to haymaking tasks.
“The T5 Electro Command is the ideal solution for customers who want a smart, all-round utility tractor,” says New Holland Global Product Marketing’s Federico Condini. “It offers the right level of automation with a proven transmission—ensuring intuitive operation, by combining both performance and ease of use.”
IntelliShift Advantage
The Electro Command transmission with IntelliShift allows for eight consecutive automatic shifts. The technology continuously analyses engine speed, transmission speed, engine load, and forward speed to ensure ideal shift time and maximum operator comfort. Operators can reach a top speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) at 1,970 rpm. They can fine-tune shuttle modulation with three available settings to match the required forward or reverse speed change.
Updated New Holland Styling
The tractors will incorporate New Holland’s signature styling for 2026, as well as improved operator visibility. For high-level comfort, customers can opt to equip the new models with a Deluxe specification package that includes an air-suspended seat, a cab suspension system, and the advanced Terraglide front axle suspension system.
Terraglide offers 80 millimetres (3.1 inches) of travel and provides Active, Locking, and Manual levelling modes. Active mode is designed for work in uneven field conditions, while Locking mode prevents axle movement for greater stability during tasks such as deep ploughing. Manual levelling lets operators customise the front axle height for easier implement attachments to the front linkage.
Implement Handling
T5 series tractors for 2026 also include a high-output handling package with an 8,000-kilogram (17,637-pound) gross vehicle weight (GVW) and a 5,200-kg (11,464-lb) rear linkage lift capacity for handling heavy implements.
To help dairy farms, livestock businesses, and other operations make intelligent, data-driven decisions about their operations, the tractors are compatible with New Holland’s FieldOps portal for real-time data transfers that can provide insights into machine and agronomic data.
